Lower Mainland man drowns west of Peachland

It’s a sad reminder of the importance of life-jackets.

A 43-year old man from Metro Vancouver is dead after a boat capsized yesterday afternoon on Headwaters Lake, west of Peachland.

RCMP say three men had been fishing when they stood up in the boat, and the vessel flipped.

The two others made it safely to shore.

Mounties add while the boat was equipped with life-jackets, none of the men were wearing them.
