Luongo says situation is “tough”, but it’s all about the team

He’s disappointed.

But he’s trying to be a good team guy as well.

Vancouver Canucks  goaltender Roberto Luongo, now backing up teammate Cory Schneider in net, is answering questions for the first time since his demotion.

“……I’m a competitor–all you guys know that….and it’s tough. But at the same time, this is about the team, and I’m not going to put myself ahead of the team….we’re in this together, we worked hard all year to be in a position and right now I’m going to do the best I can to be ready in case needed and 100 percent behind Cory and my team-mates”

The Canucks are still waiting to learn what time they will play in game five on Sunday.

No word yet from the NHL.
