The family of a young woman who disappeared from a campsite near Vanderhoof one year ago wants everyone to know she is still missing.
20-year old Madison Scott had gone camping with friends at Hogsback Lake last May 28.
She was reported missing the next day, but a police search only turned up her tent and Ford pick-up.
RCMP Constable Lesley Smith says foul play is suspected.
“We believe that there is information out there and it’s our hope that someone will come forward to help us determine what happened. The police need information, (and) Maddy’s family needs the answers.”
Scott’s family is hosting a poker ride today at the lake to raise awareness and look for any sign of her that might still be there — such as her keys or i-phone.
Her parents are also offering a $ 100,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in her disappearance.
