Man hurt after tumble down B.C. waterfall

VANCOUVER – A man is recovering with head and facial injuries after he fell down a waterfall in a provincial park east of Vancouver.

Rick Lang with Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue says the accident took place in Golden Ears Provincial Park, about 11 kilometres north of Maple Ridge.

Lang says the man was hiking with a woman and they were heading towards a lookout.

He says an item fell over the six to 9-metre-tall waterfall.

Lang says the man tumbled over the falls when he tried to retrieve the item.

He says the waterfall wasn’t steep and the man who is in his late 40s was able to walk out of the park.
