Memorial service held for crash victim

A memorial service has been held for an SFU student who was killed in Friday’s crash on the Georgia Viaduct.

Friends gathered together at Restoration Church at Surrey’s SFU campus to remember Mwekwa Kaongwa.

The 25 year old was an engineering student at SFU and was living on campus with his younger brother Chisha, who was not in the vehicle during the crash.

Friends describe Kaongwa as a very nice guy with a bright future.

Several memorial services are being held Sunday and Monday throughout the day, to offer encouragement and support for those affected by the tragedy.
