VANCOUVER – A suspect sought by police in the 1999 killing of an 18-year-old woman is back in British Columbia.
Constable Jana McGuinness of the Vancouver police says Ninderjit Singh is charged with first degree murder in the death of Poonam Randhawa.
Her body was found dumped in a laneway near her high school.
McGuinness says detectives escorted the 33-year-old man to Vancouver from Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday under an extradition order.
Singh was arrested in Riverside County, Calif. Aug. 19.
Singh will make his first court appearance Friday at 9:30 a.m.
