The provincial NDP candidate for Boundary Similkameen has suddenly resigned her candidacy effective immediately.
The party confirmed the departure of Marji Basso today in a release.
The NDP say Basso is stepping down for “personal reasons” and it will begin the nomination process to select another candidate.
Earlier today former BC Liberal MLA and now independent John Slater announced he will not be running again.
In a release he blames a smear campaign against him as the reason.
