Once again, UGM makes a difference

A Christmas block party and dinner has fed more than two-thousand people on Vancouver’s downtown eastside.

The annual event is hosted by the Union Gospel Mission and Glowbal (sic) Restaurants.

J. Stewart with the UGM says there were a lot of heavy hearts on the day the report from BC’s  Missing Women Inquiry was released, “But something to provide a little bit of levity, a little bit of joy, hopefully it makes a little bit of a difference for somebody.”

Part of Princess Street was blocked off and turned into a dining room with a large tent, food, and entertainment.
