Lower Mainland night market season is back for another summer.
First to open this weekend, the Summer Night Market on Richmond’s Vulcan Way, offering the classic Asian food stands and cheap souvenirs.
Spokesperson Paul Cheung says the approval process this time around has been a challenge, “We’ve been approved for three years. After the three years, we’re due for a renewal for another three years.”
As for what’s on tap?
“For a lot of people that have been here before, there’s all their favourites that have come back. For the ones that are new to the market, there’s going to be different foods from all around the world.”
The Richmond Night Market along River Road opens May 18th, along with Vancouver’s Chinatown Night Market.
