Delta Police investigate Princeton death

It looks like he took his own life, but the Mounties have called in Delta Police to investigate after a man they were trying to pull over in Princeton died of a gunshot wound.

Early yesterday afternoon, RCMP pulled over a speeding vehicle on Highway Three near Princeton.

But as officers approached the vehicle, the driver took off and headed to a downtown hotel.

As police tried to approach the vehicle for a second time, they heard a gunshot and found the suspect dead.

The BC Coroners’ Service is also investigating.
