NPA Councilor Disqualified from Next Civic Election

An NPA city council candidate is among those disqualified from running in the next civic election.

Vancouver Non-Partisan Association council candidate Francis Wong is included on a list of people who can’t seek civic office in Vancouver in 2014, because they did not file campaign financial disclosure statements during the 30-day late filing period, and didn’t pay the late penalty by the April 18th deadline.

Also on the list are Lauren Gill and Aaron Apires — two council candidates connected to the Occupy Vancouver movement.

There are seven people in all who are disqualified from running in the next election.
