Opponents of heavy oil hit the road

Opponents of heavy oil projects stopped in Burnaby Thursday night as part of a week-long speaking tour through BC and Alberta.

It’s being organized by the Council of Canadians with the goal of halting any more pipelines in this Province.

One of the participants is Sven Biggs with Tanker-Free BC who admits most of the people who turn up to the events largely have their minds made up, “Certainly though, anybody is welcome. And if fans of the pipeline want to come out, there’s always a chance for question and answer at the end. We’re happy to discuss with them the pros and cons of pipelines.”

The tour wraps up next Tuesday in Prince George.
