Paul Taylor has been named chair of the board of directors at ICBC.
Taylor has served as deputy minister of finance, president and C-E-O of ICBC, and chief of staff to the premier.
He resigned from the ICBC job in 2008, following a chop shop scandal at the corporation involving the sale of rebuilt cars.
ICBC said at the time the resignation had nothing to do with the scandal and Taylor was simply moving on to a different job.
Taylor’s term will be for 12 to 18 months.
He won’t be paid for the work he does as chairman.
But his expenses will be covered.
