Police crack down on high-risk drivers

ICBC and provincial police forces are promising a crackdown on “high risk drivers” during the month of May.

They’ll target speeders, tailgaters, red light runners and anyone else not obeying the basic rules of the road.

Victoria Police Chief and BC Traffic Safety Committee boss Jamie Graham says more officers will be on patrol, but he won’t be specific.

Much of the enforcement will target intersections, where 60 per cent of all crashes occur.
