The Vancouver local of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers says workers are hyper-sensitive after body parts arrived by mail at two schools.
President Robert Mulvin says with concerns over more body parts, possibly being in the mail system, workers are being told to be extra cautious.
Mulvin says Canada Post has processes to deal with suspicious packages.
“For the most part, we’re pretty cautious about things that look unusual, have an odour, or something like that. But frankly there are things that shouldn’t be in the mail that aren’t just body parts, but things that are shipped – food stuffs and things that ought not to be in the mail and we do deliver them.”
A hand and foot were delivered in both Ottawa and Vancouver, and Montreal police warn the head of murder victim, Jun Lin, is still missing.
The suspect, Luka Rocca Magnotta, was arrested in Berlin yesterday after an international manhunt.
