Premier clarifies her “sick” comments

Premier Christy Clark is attempting to clarify unflattering comments she made about our provincial capital.

Clark is quoted in a newspaper article saying she tries to avoid working at the Legislature because there’s “no real people in Victoria” and the “sick culture is unhealthy.”

So what does she mean by that?

“I meant the Legislature…the grounds of the Legislature and you know I want to be clear about that…the people of Victoria are just the same as the people in Prince George, or in Burnaby, or in Richmond, or in Fort St. John.  They want their government to listen to them.”

Clark went on to defend her government’s decision not to hold a fall session, saying she would rather spend time listening to ordinary British Columbians.
