Ride to Conquer Cancer raises 11.2 million dollars

More than 3,000 cyclists are on the road this morning – marking the start of the 4th annual “Ride to Conquer Cancer.”
The two-day, 200-kilometre fundraiser will see participants ride from Fraser Downs in Surrey – all the way to Redmond, Washington.
Doug Spencer is with the BC Cancer Foundation.

“More than 3,000 riders have raised 11.2 million dollars for cancer research here in British Columbia, it’s a great morning.”

More than 9,000 British Columbians are expected to die from the disease this year alone.
