Rita Chretien thankful husband’s remains finally found

Rita Chrétien says she’s had closure for some time, but is now thankful to have tangible proof of how her husband died.

Albert Chrétien’s remains were finally found over the weekend in the Nevada bush – a year and a half after he and his wife got lost and he went for help.

Rita says she’s grateful to know her husband managed to walk 11 kilometres in the snow before coming to a rest.

“I thought, ‘You did good, Al. Thank you for your effort.’ I know he did it for me.”

She says the family has already held a memorial site, but plan to now hold a private graveside ceremony.
