Another giraffe has died at the Greater Vancouver Zoo.
A 23-year-old female, Eleah, was found yesterday in her barn.
She was the mother of a giraffe found on the ground in his barn last week. He received treatment, but died shortly after.
The zoo’s veterinarian has performed a preliminary port-mortem on Eleah, but the cause of death is still unknown at this time.
Zoo staff are mourning.
