Humane society calls for zoo to relocate final living giraffe

Another giraffe at the Greater Vancouver Zoo dead

A 12 year old giraffe at the Greater Vancouver Zoo has died. General Manager Jodi Henderson says Jafari was found dead in his heated barn about 7:30 this morning by animal care staff. Another giraffe has died at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. A 23-year-old female, Eleah, was found yesterday in her barn. She was the mother of a giraffe found on the ground in his barn last week. The Greater Vancouver Zoo mourns the death of a giraffe.
