Canucks superstar Daniel Sedin was a no-show at practise Tuesday morning.
A day after the big story was Daniel’s return to skate with teammates for the first time following his concussion, the media were whipped into another frenzy when he was not on the ice for practise.
Many were left to speculate whether he had suffered a setback, or if the team was simply exercising some gamesmanship on the eve of their opening game of the playoffs.
Daniel would eventually emerge and skated post-practise with a group of six other non-regular players, fueling even more speculation.
For the second straight day, Daniel was not made available to the media, and all coach Alain Vigneault would offer was that the club was following protocol.
He did not confirm whether Daniel would play in Wednesday’s Game 1.
