Sentencing for Stanley Cup rioter goes Thursday

No sentencing today for the first person to plead guilty in connection with the Stanley Cup riot.

Judge Malcolm MacLean has put over the sentencing hearing for Ryan Dickinson until Thursday afternoon, so he can go over submissions from the defence.

The crown says is calling for  a sentence of 15 to 18 months.

But the defence says Dickinson is not an angry man…he just got caught up in the riot.

The judge did express concern about two previous convictions on Dickinson’s record.
