Six hurt in Surrey brawl

Six people were taken to hospital after a brawl in Surrey late last night.

RCMP Inspector Al Ramey says police were called to the Husky gas station at Hwy 10 and 176 Street around 11:30 p.m.

About 50 young people aboard a party bus had gotten into a fight with the occupants of a van.

“Police immediately responded and contained the area along with BC Ambulance and Surrey Fire Department.  The injured were treated and evacuated to hospital.  There was one arrest.”

Four of the victims have head injuries — two said to be serious.

The motive for the brawl is not yet known.
