The MLA for Boundary Similkameen says the BC Liberals deliberately tried to sideline him…. leading him to walk away from the party today.
John Slater says he was frozen out with no one from the Liberals returning his calls when he filed his nomination papers back in September.
Slater is shaking his head at the Liberal statement that he has “personal issues” and is unfit to represent the party.
“I don’t know. You know…they are grasping at straws. You know I have got some health issues you know ….but “unfit” is….you know…what is that word?..I am out of shape? You know what I mean?”
Slater says he hasn’t yet decided if he will run again, as an independent, in the next BC election.
