Surrey dad devastated no charges laid in son’s killing

Jamie Kehoe’s father is frustrated no one will face charges for his son’s death.

The 18-year-old died last October after being slashed in the throat on a Surrey bus.

His killer ran away, but police eventually identified a suspect.

Crown has announced the case is too circumstantial, and there is even evidence the suspect acted in self-defense after being attacked by Kehoe’s friend.

But Jamie’s father, Jason Kehoe, says the explanation doesn’t cut it.

“Somebody ended up dead, and nobody is being charged with anything and it makes no sense at all. Our tax dollars pay for them to protect us and this is what we get?  You’re allowed to go onto a bus, three assaults occur, they have evidence of those assaults, and no charge is laid. Does it make sense to you?”

He’s even questioning why his son’s friend isn’t facing charges – asking if there’s something else at play.
