A 40 year old man is in hospital after a shooting in Richmond last night.
RCMP Inspector Brian Massie says mounties were called shortly before 10:00 with a report of shots fired in the 6900 block of Number 3 Road.
They found the victim–who is known to police–in a parking lot behind a restaurant there.
“They initiated their investigation and determined that it was a targeted shooting–it was very evident that it was a targeted shooting, and the suspects at this point, are not known to the police. We are still interviewing a number of witnesses who were at that location.”
Police don’t yet know whether the shooting is gang-related and there are not yet any descriptions of suspects.
