NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. – A targeted shooting has critically injured a man in suburban Vancouver.
Police in New Westminster say the victim was sitting in a car outside a high rise near Queen’s Park on Monday night at about 10:15.
An unidentified attacker opened fire, hitting the man several times.
Police say the investigation has just begun and they are appealing for any witnesses.
They also haven’t said why they believe the shooting is targeted or whether it may be gang-related.
The victim’s name has not been released and no arrests have been made.
