Thousands of BC teachers, and their supporters, are staging a rally at the Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver.
Those teachers go back to work tomorrow, but vow to keep fighting back against Bill 22.
Teachers and their supporters have already heard from BCTF President Susan Lambert, who is essentially refusing to meet with Education Minister George Abbott, unless he agrees to mediation, rather than rhetoric.
Lambert says she’s ready to meet with him at any time, but only if he’s willing to have meaningful negotiations.
Abbott says he wants to speak to Lambert.
But Lambert says he’s just trying to get the public on the side of the government.
She says if he cancels Bill 22 and have a meaningful talk, then she’s willing to talk.
