Tens of thousands of runners will cram into downtown streets for the Vancouver Sun Run Sunday.
To help bring runners in, Translink Spokesman Derek Zabel says the Expo and Millennium Skytrain lines will start a half hour earlier, while the Seabus will start an hour earlier.
Then, bus service will be pulled to accomodate the race route.
“and on buses, basically in Metro, we’ve got a number of different routes taking effect. But we’re going to be taking the buses away from Georgia between Pender and Richards, the West End, Burrard Bridge, Second Avenue in Kitsilano.”
The 10K race starts downtown on West Georgia Street, goes through Stanley Park, along English Bay, over the Burrard Street Bridge and across to the Cambie Street Bridge, to end with a big party at BC Place.
Roads will be closed from 5 am to 1:30 pm.
