With a lockout looming the President of the BC Federation of Labour has come out swinging against NHL team owners.
As always Jim Sinclair comes down on the side of employees – in this case the hockey players – and doesn’t mince words when talking about NHL owners…
“it is the employers that are threatening to lock them out just as they did the last time and that’s too bad. these are the billionaires and they feel they can hang on this is clearly a cash grab.”
Sinclair says a lot of people will be affected directly and indirectly by a lockout – not only the 15-hundred or so unionized employees in Rogers Arena – but those who work in nearby bars and restaurants.
