Vancouver City Council’s lifted the lid on its “Transportation 2040” plan and it includes more bike lanes and eliminating car access to certain streets and removing parking along other roads.
Charles Gauthier with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association hopes there will be adequate consultation before the plan is approved by council.
“I think, although it’s not stated explicity in the report, is that I think the run ins council and staff have encountered with the implimentation of many of their projects because of a lack of consultation or maybe because there hasn’t been enough detailed study.”
Council will hear from staff on the report next week.
