Casting: Coster-Waldau, Paymer, Rossum, Spall

A Thousand Times Good Night
“Game of Thrones” star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will join Juliette Binoche in Erik Poppe’s indie drama “A Thousand Times Good Night”. Poppe and Harald Rosenlow Eeg co-wrote the script.

The story is inspired by Poppe’s own experiences in the 1980’s as a war photographer torn between job and family. Shooting began this week in Ireland before moving to Morocco, Kenya and Kabul. [Source: Variety]

Jack Ryan
David Paymer has been cast as an American diplomat in Kenneth Branagh’s “Jack Ryan” reboot at Paramount Pictures.

Branagh, Chris Pine, Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner star in the film which is set in Ryan’s pre-CIA days and has him serving as a stockbroker working for a Moscow billionaire. [Source: Variety]

You’re Not You
Emmy Rossum is in negotiations to star in George C. Wolfe’s film adaptation of Michelle Wildgen’s novel “You’re Not You”. Hilary Swank, Molly Smith, Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan are producing.

Rossum plays an aimless and self-absorbed college student whose life is changed when she takes a part-time job caring for a woman (Hilary Swank) with Lou Gehrig’s disease. [Source: THR]

Kill
Rafe Spall (“Prometheus”) is set to play the lead in Britpop satire “Kill Your Friends” at Altitude Film Entertainment. Shooting will kick off in the UK early next year.

The story follows an A&R man who, desperately searching for the next big hit, takes the concept of killer tunes to a murderous new level. [Source: Variety]
