Untitled Mob Comedy
Warner Bros. Pictures has bought an untitled mob comedy pitch with Steve Carell and Jake Johnson (TV’s “New Girl”) attached to star.
Max Winkler will direct from a script by Rodney Rothman, details of the pitch are unknown. Carousel Productions and Viking Funeral will produce. [Source:Deadline]
Hell Baby
Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Riki Lindhome and Keegan-Michael Key have joined the cast of Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant’s indie horror comedy “Hell Baby” which is about to start shooting in New Orleans.
The story centers on a young expectant couple (Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb) moving to the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans and calling upon The Vatican’s elite exorcism team to save them. [Source:Variety]
Out of the Furnace
They’ve both previously been linked, now both Forest Whitaker and Woody Harrelson are confirmed to be joining the cast of Scott Cooper’s “Out of the Furnace”.
The duo join Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana, Sam Shepard and Casey Affleck in the film which has just begun shooting in Pennsylvania. [Source:WAMG]
The Brief Lovers
Filmmaker Pedro Almodovar has set Mexican actor Jose Maria Yazpik (“The Burning Plain,” “Abel”) to star alongside Javier Camara in his upcoming romantic comedy ”The Brief Lovers”.
