Casting: Slater, Lombardozzi, Robertson

Nymphomaniac
Christian Slater has joined the cast of Lars von Trier’s “Nymphomaniac” which is currently shooting in Germany. Slater will play the father of the leading lady.

The story focuses on a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50, as told in eight chapters by a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac named Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg/Stacy Martin). [Source: Variety]

Malavita
Domenick Lombardozzi (“The Wire,” “Breakout Kings”) has joined the cast of Luc Besson’s English-language black comedy “Malavita” about an America mob boss (Robert De Niro) who moves to France as part of a Witness Protection Program.

Lombardozzi will play an FBI agent who is charged with protecting De Niro’s character. Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones also star. [Source: THR]

Starbuck
Britt Robertson (“The Secret Circle”) will play Kristen in Ken Scott’s American remake of the 2011 French-Canadian film “Starbuck”.

Kristen is a troubled teen who is one of the 533 children that Vince Vaughn’s character fathered through sperm donation. [Source: Deadline]
