Jay Roach (“Game Change,” “Meet the Parents”) has signed on to direct an untitled film about the doping scandal surrounding seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong at Warner Bros. Pictures and Atlas Entertainment.
Scott Z. Burns (“Side Effects,” “Contagion”) has penned the script. The project has also secured life rights to Armstrong’s racing partner Tyler Hamilton.
Hamilton was one of the first insiders to testify under oath and come forward publicly to break the code of silence. Charles Roven and Alex Gartner will produce.
This is NOT to be confused with the adaptation of Juliet Macur’s non-fiction book “Cycle of Lies” in development at Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions.
