Producer Rick Benattar (“Real Steel”, “Ironclad”) and Cascade FilmWorks are teaming on a live-action feature adaptation of the popular webcomic “Last Blood” says Deadline.
The story is set in a future in which vampires battle zombies to protect the last surviving humans and preserve their supply of fresh blood.
Simon Hunter (“Mutant Chronicles”) will helm the project which begins shooting in November. More than 20 million readers worldwide have checked out the online comic since its debut in 2006.
