Universal Pictures is reportedly in talks with “Snow White And The Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders about returning for the proposed sequel to that film says Deadline.
Sanders is reportedly interested, but isn’t signed and isn’t under option by the studio to do the film (unlike the actors who have options for two sequels). Sanders hasn’t chosen his next film, so this sequel might well be it.
David Koepp was hired to write the sequel script back in late April. The first film scored mixed-to-weak reviews but has pulled in $ 118 million worldwide in its first week.
As long as it continues to perform well, the considerable $ 170 million budget makes any sequel a costly proposal, expect some more time with the Huntsman down the line.
