Warner Bros has acquired Andrew Baldwin’s period drama script “The Outsider” reports Deadline.
The story follows an American who spent WWII as a POW in Japan and stays there after the war ends. After working his way through the rituals and hardships, he becomes the rare outsider who gains membership in the Yakuza organized crime syndicate.
John Linson created the idea and will produce along with his father Art Linson, the pair are executive producers on FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”.
