5 months not enough time for family to recover

Five months after first degree murder charges were laid against 21 year old Cody Legebokoff in connection with the deaths of 3 women in Prince George, the family of one of those women, is still trying to heal.

23 year old Natasha Montgomery was reported missing in September 2010.

North District RCMP Constable Lesley Smith says Montgomery’s family has held a ceremony at a home where police believe Natasha was murdered, “Now, the ceremony was done in an effort to allow the Montgomery family to begin healing during this difficult time. Even though charges have been laid, Natasha’s body was never recovered.”

Smith says Montgomery’s body needs to be found so she can be given a proper burial.

Mounties are asking anyone with information to contact them.
