Bikers ride to remember fallen soldiers

More than 1,000 motorcycle riders have hit the road to honour fallen Canadian soldiers, in the third annual Army Veteran Memorial Ride.

The event started at Boundary Road with a presentation of a modified chopper to Dan Scott – who was seriously hurt in Afghanistan.

“He’s very excited to see the bike. It was a surprise! He didn’t know until last weekend, and unfortunately can’t because he’s in Manitoba right now, but he’s really thrilled,” his mother, Holly, said.

The riders will make their way to Chilliwack for a service at All Sappers Cenotaph.
