BREAKING: coach gets jail time for on-ice trip

A minor hockey coach who injured a player by tripping him on the ice after a game at UBC’s Thunderbird Arena has been sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Martin Tremblay was caught on video in June committing the assault.

The judge was harsher than what prosecutors sought.

They were willing to let him serve 30 day conditional sentence requiring community service.
