Councillor wants another look at Metro Vancouver situation

A Councillor with the Township of Langley still wants Council to look at jumping out of Metro Vancouver.

Kim Richter says she wants Council to see if staying in Metro Vancouver saves them any money or not, “I don’t know the answer to that question, but I think that is a question that needs to be asked and answered on behalf of the residents of Langley Township.”

Richter says Council is checking to see how much updating a decade old Cost Benefit Report will cost.

In the meantime, she says Metro Vancouver is suddenly showing up at Council meetings, “Well, they are certainly paying a lot more attention to us, which is nice. It is like they remember they have an eastern boundary.”

Richter says Metro Vancouver has also called all Metro Mayors together for a Council of Councils next week.
