Vancouver’s Mayor says his trip to London during the Olympics was fruitful, but he’s not ready to talk about what investment he managed to attract to the host city of the 2010 Games, “There’ll be some tangible announcements in the near future. Nothing that we can announce today, but deals are in progress right now.”
Robertson says the 100-thousand dollar cost of the trip which included City Manager Penny Ballem and 30 Vancouver businesses was well worth it, “A really good opportunity to use the Olympics in London to build business opportunity in Vancouver. We met with digital media companies, clean technology companies doing business in London or the EU.”
Robertson adds the trip will build on investments made after the 2010 Games which created more than 25-hundred jobs in Metro Vancouver.
