The official opening of the new Port Mann Bridge may be happening sooner than expected.
Coast Mountain bus drivers who’ll be operating the new rapid buses over the bridge have been told service will begin Wednesday December 5th.
Transportation Minister Mary Polak isn’t confirming anything.
She says “we’re really hopeful we’ll be able to make our date target for opening.”
And what is that target date???
She says “we’ll be announcing a firm date fairly shortly.”
Rapid bus service from 200th Street in Langley to Braid Station in New Westminster is expected to take just 23 minutes.
