Family of missing Burnaby senior renews calls for help after sightings

The family of a missing 79-year-old woman with dementia is still pleading with the public to look out for her, after more unconfirmed sightings.

Yu Lan Rou Lin has been missing from Burnaby for nearly 48 hours now. She was last seen leaving her family’s store on Imperial Street Thursday afternoon.

Hayley Chiang says her grandmother doesn’t speak English.

“There was a possible sighting matching the description of my grandma on a southbound bus on Fraser Street. … It was around 4 p.m. last night.”

Chiang asks people to watch for a woman wearing a red hat and grey fleece jacket.

Anyone who sees her should call 911.
