A stinky, smokey mess for firefighters in North Vancouver.
They continue to pour water on a huge pile of garbage that caught fire just before 8:00 a.m.
It’s burning at the transfer station on Riverside Drive, near the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.
“It’s a very large transfer station, probably 150 by 200 metres,” says Assistant Fire Chief Mike Cairns.
He adds the cause is not known.
