It has been a frustrating day for some Air Canada customers.
It started with delays and cancellations because the airline claims some pilots called in sick as part of their ongoing labour dispute.
Air Canada spokesperson Angela Mah says a few dozen flights back east were affected, far fewer in Vancouver.
“…….literally three flights — one to Toronto, one to Calgary, one to Edmonton.”
Mah says passengers have since boarded other flights.
By midday, a new problem surfaced — the airline’s website went down.
“…….yes, this is our luck for Friday the 13th. we are aware that we have some technical issues with our website and our it teams are looking into it.”
