The now-22-year-old man who killed Grant De Patie during a gas-and-dash seven years ago will be let out on statutory release this week, for the third time.
Darnell Pratt was first released in June of 2010 and again in November 2011, but violated his parole both times.
“It’s having him rehabilitated and returned to our community as a constructive member, that’s the goal for everybody – everybody but Mr. Pratt,” says father Doug De Patie.
He adds he doesn’t have much hope Pratt will abide by his conditions this time either.
Pratt’s sentence is up in July.
