Involved killing finally settled

A gangster hired to kill a Surrey woman’s ex-husband has been sentenced to 14 months behind bars.

David Laidlaw was paid 10-thousand dollars by Liza Belcourt in 2009 to kill her ex. Laidlaw turned around and hired another man, Jordan Doiron, to carry out the hit. But the plot was never carried out once police got involved.

Belcourt and Doiron have both been sentenced to six years in prison.
