A suspected rapist –accused of assaulting two women in Burnaby over the New Year’s eve long weekend– is still behind bars, but he’s applying for bail Thursday January 10th.
Michael Alexander Martin of Surrey was arrested within 24-hours of the attacks recorded in South Burnaby on December 29th.
The 29-year old has been in custody since then.
He’s been charged with two counts of sexual assault, as well as two more for breach of probation.
Police say the victims were sexually assaulted within three blocks of each other and less than 20 minutes apart.
